ICROM was founded in 1969, since February 1996 it belongs to the French chemical group PROTEX INTERNATIONAL
The offices and the plant are conveniently located in the north eastern area of Milan
ICROM is specialized in the synthesis of fine chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients(APIs) .
ICROM activity is based on the large experience in applying special technologies such as chlorosulfonation, bromination, hydrogenation, nitromethylation, o-methylation and on the technologies developed by the sisters companies FAR RESEARCH Inc . and KING'S RESEARCH Inc. , located in Palm Bay, Florida (USA), and inspected by FDA.
ICROM has modern production facilities, one unit being dedicated to the manufacture of the intermediates, one to the last steps of the synthesis for the manufacture of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients in strict compliance with cGMP requirements and a third one is specifically dedicated to the hydrogenation. The facilities are regularly inspected by Italian Health Authorities
ICROM is equipped with its own waste water biological treatment and takes great care of the environment in close cooperation with local authorities.
ICROM Quality Control Program complying with cGMP rules and with all major international standards is carried out by experienced and qualified technical staff to guarantee the highest quality level of the production.
ICROM is in position to develop new products starting from intermediates produced both by FAR and by PROTEX and is able to satisfy several needs of the customers in connection with custom manufacturing.
PROTEX FINE CHEMICALS
All the activities related to fine chemicals in the group are gathered in the business unit PROTEX FINE CHEMICALS, making a wider range of technologies available to carry out custom synthesis and to develop new products.
In this project are involved ICROM as well as the facilities of Far Research in Palm Bay (USA), of PROTELOR in Saint Avold (France), of SYNTHRON in Chateau Renault (France) and of SINO-PROX CHEMICALS in Guandong and in Suzhou (P.R.China).
The activities of this Business Unit involve the capability to produce material on a laboratory scale, a semi-scale, pilot scale or full production scale to cover all customers' needs. Totally more than 1000 cubic meters of capacity are already committed on a worldwide basis at serving the most important pharmaceutical companies in the world as well as many other companies involved in electronics, photography, cosmetics, perfumery, agro chemistry, polymers etc.
